GulfSport restart as UAE distributor for Bell Helmets

Yesterday (14/6/17) GulfSport took the short flight to Bahrain to visit the new state of the art Bell Helmets factory based at the Bahrain International Circuit.

GulfSport Racing has been selling Bell Helmets since 2006, in fact the numbers show that 780 units have come in and out of our doors since then. However this stopped in 2016 when Bell suffered unforeseen problems when closing their factory in China and relocating to Bahrain.

But now they are fully functional and producing up to 150 helmets a day, serving the global market. With eight F1 drivers now wearing a Bell Helmet, interest and confidence in the product is at an all time high and great timing for GulfSport to start offering the range again.

Martin and Fred from GulfSport spent a full day touring the factory to witness the whole process from start to finish. All helmets are hand made taking a full 14 days to produce a single unit from raw material to a fully completed helmet.

Bell Factory Manager Aref Yazbek added –“It was great to meet the GulfSport Racing team and renew our business relationship. We are glad to serve the UAE market and have no doubts that GulfSport will be assisting all customer’s needs. Looking forward to have more and more GCC drivers wearing Bell Helmets, especially now that it is 100% made in Bahrain!”

Quality control takes place at every stage to ensure build quality and that helmets fit within the strict FIA guidelines for weight. All R&D and testing is done in-house and recently Bell added a new Custom painting service in Bahrain.

GulfSport will be able to offer the full range of helmets and services offered by Bell, with this newly strengthened relationship, and with the factory only a short distance away will ensure total customer satisfaction and extremely competitive pricing.

We expect to receive the first batch for the start of the local season in September.
