Weekend of success for GulfSport Racing

GulfSport Racing had a great weekend at Yas Marina. Finishing up the last event of its Formula Gulf Academy and retaking the lead in the UAE Radical Series.

Alex Karkosik of Poland is the 2016/17 Formula Gulf Academy Champion, he will go onto use his scholarship prize and compete in the 2017 Euro Formula Series with Campos Racing. Vice Champion Omar Gazzaz of KSA will get to test with Campos also in Spain with their championship winning F3 Team. Coming Third overall was the UAE's top young racer Saeed Al Ali, doing the UAE proud and hoping to continue his racing with GulfSport in the UK this summer as is Omar Gazzaz competing with GulfSport in the UK F3 Cup series.

GulfSport also retook the series lead this weekend with Sergey Shalanov of the UAE Radical Series but by only 3 points. Sergey drove faultlessly and took and 2nd and a win in both races. With the final race in Qatar in a couple of weeks and double points up for grabs there is still a long way to go, but everyone only has a win in their sights.

After the race cars are prepped post season the GulfSport engineering team turn their attention to more work on trackday cars. So if you are looking to get your beloved fast road or trackday car worked on by the regions top race team get in touch.
