FIA 8865 Fire Systems Mandatory this season!

In an effort the improve safety the FIA are starting to introduce the new 8865 system across the board. Starting with WRC, R5, T1, S2000 and RGT for 2017 these systems will also be mandatory in most classes for 2018.

Cockpit system uses Novec™1230 fluid a Halon replacement, has zero ozone depletion, no GWP, leaves no residue and has no effect on delicate electronics, the preferred choice of the environmentally aware driver, Engine system uses F-500 Encapsulator - this is a water based extinguishant with unique properties that not only rapidly cool the area but also encapsulate both unburnt fuel as well as interrupting free radicals. 

For use with all Petrol & E85 engined vehicles, Suitable for Cockpit sizes from 2.3-4.1m³
